Gina is the Executive Director and founder of Heaven Sent Community Ministries, a non-profit agency in Marlette that provides monthly food distribution and other services to the working poor and those in need.  Heaven Sent operates a thrift store & food pantry ministry in Marlette.

Pastor Chris enjoys nature, exercise, reading God’s Word and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Gina likes hiking, reading, and ministries that reflect the love of God.  Both enjoy spending time in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, exploring the waterfalls and beautiful outdoors.  The couple have four adult children and three grandchildren.

Becki Brice is our church Administrative Assistant for her sixteenth year.  She has gained a great deal of knowledge of the functions of the local, district, and conference levels of the United Methodist Church.  Along with day-to-day office work, she creates our weekly multi-media presentations, including PowerPoints, social media, worship bulletins, and graphics.   An important part of her ministry is to be the friendly voice on the phone Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during office hours (9:00-noon) Becki is a wealth of information and support and can direct you to the ministry most beneficial for you.

Becki is a certified lay servant, and teaches lay servant classes, as well as participates in many of our Evangelism and Nurture ministries. Becki and her husband Larry have two daughters in their 20's. She also is a mentor for our local high school’s robotics team participants, Team 1718 - The Fighting Pi.

Donna Farver is our Director of Christian Education.  She oversees the researching and ordering of resources for our children’s Sunday School and Vacation Bible School; and organizes a schedule while recruiting volunteers to teach classes for all ages, and monthly presentations of the message through puppet shows for Children’s Time during the worship service. She leads the planning and directing of special programs, such as Christmas and Easter programs.

Marjorie Rienas is our Director of Music for about thirty years.  She directs and often accompanies our volunteer choir, and plays the piano or organ on occasion for the Sunday morning worship service.  An important part of her ministry is to create opportunities for people of all abilities and ages to share their musical gifts and talents as a means of worship, including singing, playing instruments, dance, and drama.

She also directs the Armada Community Choir.  Marj does not have formal training, but many years of experience, and is Marj’s passion for the Lord and music that are her strengths.

Now that Marj has retired from teaching, she and her husband, Doug, enjoy gardening, farming, sports, and spending time with their family, especially the grandchildren.
